Sprung has Spring
Well it happened, after talking about it all winter, plans in hand I went out into the garden ready to begin the big dig, now maybe if I had paid more attention to my mother when I was younger, I wouldn’t be able to recognise an Anthemis cotula from an Quercus robur but as it stands without the power of google I don’t
, so problem solved, bring lap top out, and start identifying things, then came the first flaw, despite all these wonderful tv adverts of people being able to check their email in the middle of a field, it seems you cant actually see the laptop screen in sunlight without shielding it, so I’m sitting there doing my impression of a hoodie, trying to figure out if a dandelion is meant to be there and find when I remove said hoodie, the sun blinds me, and I cant actually see anything.
Flaw number 2: You cannot garden by touch alone without getting stung, bit, or stabbed, so after starting to look like a rather over perforated tea bag, I have dropped that idea in favour of, waiting till everything has grown, then ill pop the rabbits out on leads and hopefully they will eat the weeds for me, easy peasy, why didn’t I think of that before.
