Without trying to turn this into a weather blog, I cant help but mention the rain of the last few days, my thoughts go out to everybody affected by the floods, fortunatley here on the Isle of Wight we have been pretty dry
I have been neglecting my blog lately (don’t look so pleased) although not deliberately but the outside world has been very demanding, I have taken on a college course to help me with a change of career when I decide to hang up my thongs, and the last month has been quite demanding, im pleased to say though that its all over for he summer so I can relax and get on with other things

Im writing this at 7.30am and allready I have the windows open, it has been the hottest easter bank holiday I can remember for years, now if only we could get the daytrippers and holiday makers to choose somewhere other than the Isle of Wight to go, we would have more room on the beaches cant complain though as i love meeting new people as much as anybody so the visitors are welcome here
Staying with the weather, I do wonder if its going to last until next weekend when i have my short break up in Somerset, Weston Super Mare has been my second home since childhood so be nice to get back there again, and of course all the better if the sun is shining
Watching convoys of caravans unloading off the ferry today while waiting for a gentleman friend of mine, reminded me in no small way that holiday season has started, and got me thinking about where to go this year, cant really do my anual trip to the Isle of Wight now im allready here, and doing it in reverse as a week in Birmingham just doesnt have the same appeal so tonight im going to be sticking a virtual pin in google earth and see where i end up,
I must admit am very tempted on a return trip to Malta as last time i went due to the dreaded dheli belly things didnt go quite to plan, but then there is still so much of the British Isles I want to explore, there is also Gurnsey, somewhere I have visited several times and enjoy it more and more every time,
maybe I just have a thing about islands and dont realise it, wonder if there is a ism or illia or something for it, ill have to look that up as well now
